Vasectomy
A vasectomy is a form of permanent male sterilization. It involves severing the two vas deferens, which are the tubes that exit the testes and deliver sperm to the ejaculatory ducts deep in the pelvis. By severing these tubes located in the scrotum, sperm is no longer present in the semen, and conception cannot occur. Over 500,000 are performed in the United States every year. The procedure is very safe and very effective. The urologists of 21st Century Urology have years of experience with this procedure and offer the “no scalpel”/”no needle” vasectomy technique as well as other approaches, performed right in the office. They have performed thousands of these procedures and have become the standard-bearers for virtually pain-free vasectomies.
