Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition with which many men over the age of 50 must deal. It is defined as the inability to obtain or maintain penile erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. There are many causes and associations, which include psychogenic sources, hypogonadism (low testosterone level), diabetes, long-term smoking history, enlarged prostate, and heart disease, to name a few. Speak with one of our urologists to help find the cause and develop a treatment plan. Another problem commonly associated with ED is Peyronie’s Disease, a condition resulting in curvature of the erect penis, making sexual intercourse difficult. There are treatment options available for this as well.
